Thanking the funders who help show there is Light at the end of the tunnel
As we near the end of the year, we wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us to show more parents that there is Light at the end of the tunnel.
Perinatal mental illness affects up to 27% of new and expectant mums and covers a wide range of conditions. (Source: https://www.england.nhs.uk/mental-health/perinatal )

Our wonderful supporters
To all those who donate monthly, who have participated in events or have sent a one off donation, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We appreciate you supporting our cause and helping us to support more people across South Yorkshire.
How can I support Light Peer Support?
There are many ways in which you can help us support people affected by perinatal mental health.
The gift of time
Do you have your own experience of difficulties through pregnancy or the first two years of your child’s life? Would you like to help listen to parents and let them know they’re not alone?
We have two volunteering roles available, support group volunteers and peer support buddies who offer one to one support either face to face or via video call or on the phone.
Donate to Light Peer Support
There are three ways in which you can donate to Light Peer Support.
Fundraising through a challenge event
Will you be doing the Sheffield 10k or Sheffield Half or maybe you fancy an abseil or skydive for us? Whatever your challenge, we’d be more than happy to share your challenge on our social channels to gain more support.
One off donations
Even £1 can help us. When ten people donate £1 it helps us towards giving a parent one to one support by text, email or video call, every donation helps.
Monthly donations
Regular monthly donations are easy to set up and help us in so many different ways.
From ensuring we have refreshments for our parents and comfortable rooms so they feel at ease to sending out our welcome packs full of all the information parents need about the support we will give, plus a few wellbeing gifts to enjoy at home.
However you are able to support us and however much time or money you can give, you can be secure in the knowledge that you are truly helping parents at a time when life can be hard and you’re helping us show them there is Light at the end of the tunnel.
