If you are interested all we ask is that you pledge to raise £1000 for us and submit a short description of why you’d like to run for Light (max 200 words). Please let us have this by Monday 16th October and we will be back in touch that week to let you know if you have been successful.

As from next Wednesday, 29 March our support group at Primrose Children’s centre in S6 will run from 10am to 12noon.
LightSheffield are delighted to have been nominated as the charity to receive proceeds from the raffle at the Northern Sling Exhibition 2017.
The free event will be held this year at The Octagon Centre, Sheffield, on Saturday 4th March, and will be open to the public from 10am – 4pm.
The exhibition is intended to reach out to families who may be curious about carrying their baby, and to provide an opportunity for health care professionals who work with families (such as health visitors and midwives) to find out more about this parenting tool. More seasoned sling users will also find much to enjoy; with stalls from some of the very best makers and distributors of slings and accessories.
We will be starting a new support group in Primrose Children’s Centre, 9.45 – 11.15am on Jan 18th 2017. Please come along to chat to one of our trained volunteers. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 0114 438 8962 for more details.

Light is a peer-support charity that supports mums with postnatal depression and other mental illness around childbirth. This is a great opportunity to join our team of dedicated volunteers.
Approximately two thousand women in South Yorkshire suffer from depression or anxiety relating to childbirth every year.
Could you use your own experience of postnatal depression or anxiety to offer much needed peer support to these mums and their families?
Could you spare a couple of hours a week to help facilitate a peer support group in Sheffield, Rotherham or Doncaster, or be a ‘buddy’ for a family, and make a difference?
If so we’d love to hear from you – please contact Josanne on email@example.com or call us 0114 438 8962
